ITYFT most examiners are men because most Clbutt 1 certificate holders are men. Women are indeed allowed and I have had a female examiner myself.
You will be expected to drive according to the system. The examiner will be looking for a Safe, Systematic, Smooth drive making good use of the vehicle's performance where appropriate (up to a legal maximum).

I'm don't think that would make any difference at all. All of the examiners I have had have been interested in the driving and the car, even for the sociable chatty conversation during the test :-)

Not at all, I would congratulate you heartily. I would just be extremely surprised if you managed more than a bronze, or maybe a silver at a real push, buttuming you have really have had no other training than just reading the book. Even watching the Roadcraft video or having a demo drive with a PC1 would be a huge benefit. At least you would have some idea of what it looks like when done properly.
Give it a go. What have you got to lose? At least you're not building yourself up like Peter did.
