Generally combative? Shows you have no clue. I want to get through the light. It's not a long signal and I was about 7th in line. That's it. Do you think a horn blast had I been driving would have been met with any less resistance? Or going around him with the car?
Just let them do it. Well maybe I should just pbutt everyone and go to the front of the queue then because I don't want to be waiting 2-3 cycles at every light because drivers fail to accelerate. Better yet, I could go up to the front and run the red light. But we know how drivers don't like bicyclists who do that, now don't we? Although, they are just following your advice and solving the problem. Is that what you'd prefer? gutter pbutting to the front and then running red? Maybe this is why some people do that. And after all, they just have to let me do it, right? I might have a gun.
I wasn't following 'too close'. Never got closer to him than 5 feet.
Let's all be restly affraid, lets be fearful of everybody. Maybe I was the one with the gun? Maybe he should thought about that and moved when the light turned green. It works both ways. (There's no way for him to know what's within easy reach inside my backpack.)
Basically, what you are saying is the craziest person should be yielded to. Fine. I'll be the craziest person and everyone can yield to me and get out of my way. If that's going to be the rule. And as you can see, at that point the concept fails. Once one decides to be the crazy person to take advantage of the 'might have a gun' rulek, your concept goes down the tubes.
Oh. You wanted me to REALLY pee him off. Sure, I could have done that. Easily. But I chose words over that for a reason. Let me tell you, if you think words, not even curse words, just regular words peeed him off pbutting him on a bicycle would have made him homicidal. (and behind me, with a 3000lb deadly weapon)
These people who become insulted when their slowness is called out, they get violent if you pbutt them using a bicycle. I've done that before when there's been more than one lane. Said nothing and just pbutted them. You think my words drew first blood, pbutting him in the same lane (todays condition) would have made him homicidal. He would dashed to the right or left as needed to block me. If I got ahead of me he probably would have sped up and cliped me. I don't know if he has a gun, but I do know he has a car and it's a much more effective weapon against me.
It's going to be hard to shoot me while driving when I am behind the shooter. It's much easier to hit me with the car when I am in front. Plus, if he hits me with the car, he can say the magic words and avoid jail time. With the gun, that doesn't work.
I've had drivers who have attacked me just because I was on the road. No other reason. I was on the road. Had drivers cross the double yellow and come straight at me. Had drivers try to run me into the ditch while they pbutted. Had drivers throw things at me. Maybe they should think I have a gun before attacking? What about that?
Just yell at me? I have that happen all the time for no reason at all. Even on empty roads with lots of room to just pbutt. I've had drivers going the opposite direction yell at me. Maybe they should think that I might have a gun?
Exactly how am I going to do that on a bicycle? I'm fast... I can hit 35mph on occasion but even a falling apart tempo will eventually catch me if the driver planted his left foot hard enough.
5gal is making me gleeful 2672Motorhead Lawyer Why are people complaining then? Gas prices are still cheap, cheap, cheap. Maybe not for the poor sucker who commutes 50 miles each way to work. But, they deserve their...
I suppose I could try and lead them off road, but I'd probably destroy a rim in the process.
Maybe he's lucky I didn't.
But you think I should have just pbutted him, putting him behind me, where his automobile alone would have been an effective weapon. Turning around and shooting while driving isn't as easy as it is in the movies I'm sure. Also I think the cop would have noticed that. He could have hit me with his car and the cop would have just done paperwork after he finished writing the speeding ticket.
Which is why I didn't just pbutt him. Because now gun or no gun, he has a deadly weapon pointed at my BACK.
