He can't equal the phone-using woman I saw on the A14 in Italy. She was driving at a steady 100kmh in lane 3, oblivious to the huge queue behind her. Eventually the Italian driver behind her managed to communicate by headlamp flashing and horn sounding that she may care to think about driving in another lane.
Todays Darwinian award winnersHarry Bloomfield presented the following explanation : As I have nothing to report, I'll relate an incident I saw about this time last year.... I was in L2 of the M1 south on the approach...
So without looking in her mirror she simply swung the wheel over and swerved into lane 1. Clipping the front of a white van in lane 2 and pushing it sideways into lane 2 where it was T-boned by a truck driver in an artic. Truck driver did his best to stop, but ended up pushing the van about 1-4 of a mile up the road.
Left my details with the carabineri as a witness and still waiting to find out what happens. I hope they fry the unpleasant woman. I also don't know if the van driver was end the police wouldn't let anyone look or tell us about him so I fear the worst.
