Last night, some person or persons decided to have a go at my Mazda.
Bent the rear door frame out enough to smash the glbutt, got in, had a quick shufty, smashed up the steering column and ignition (failing to get it going) and left. Didn't take anything, not the few CDs in the glovebox or the few quid in parking change.
Also did the same to the Ford Grandad next door, but didn't get in.
Police been and sorted it, took some excellent fingerprints etc. Hopefully they are already on file...
Trouble is, between the excessive insurance excess and the amount that will get added to future premiums if I do claim, it ain't worth it. (K reg 323F, 150K miles, adequate condition, £300 if that)
Even getting new glbutt and fitting it will be a pain - I was about to sell the damn thing anyway.
Ah well, guess I'll put the old steel wheels back on it, sell the nice alloys on EBay, strip the excellent stereo and speakers out and put it in the Mondeo etc...
