Sold car with no record of purchaser
Sold car with no record of purchaser!!! Advice please all: (all happens in England...) My Father-in-law was selling his car...

Were you repeatedly dropped on your head at some point? The transmission of a car has f*** all to do with how many people can get in the car.

Why can you only see from one very narrow point of view?

No Peter that's your perception and very little to do with the reason that someone else has chosen the vehicle they have.

Utter bollocks. I have a 4x4, I use it in the management of a farm. I couldn't even get up the track to the farm in a standard vehicle - believe me I've tried and many others have tried. The only vehicles that can approach up the 30 degree slope on loose gravel are 4x4s or tracked.

So, as one of the people buying 4x4s I am frequently in the situation where no other vehicle would do. Hence your statment above was unmitigated drivel. It only takes one counter example to disprove your opinion, since "never" is an absolute term.

And then of course there is snow, the annual landslips, and the twice annual flooding of the routes that lead into and out of the village. There are several people with Seicentos who live in the urbanised parts of the village. When it snows or floods they can't even get to work.

-- "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

-- Benjamin Franklin, 1759
