Which is a pretty good definition of "trolling", except that you would want to keep...

I agree that skills required on the track can be usefull on the road ie learning to recognise skids. However, these skills are shown purely as 'cool' and in no way as an aid to safer driving.

I can see the entertainment value, even if thats not my idea of entertainment, but I would be more impressed if the programme could find room for some good driving advice too.

Even when doing a road test they drive for 'coolness' and do not show any good driving. For example, if they are testing several vehicles ttogether, they will often be shown weaving around the road and driving very close to each other.

My concern is my 16 & 18 year old sons who are glued to the programme. They are heavily influenced by what they see and I have no doubt this will be reflected in there driving. My sons never talk about cornering safely, the need not to tailgate or the benifits of good observation but they constantly talk about the latest supercars and their 0-60 times etc.

I also find TG rubbish but I don't think it would be too difficult to show road driving in a better light yet keep the off road exciting stuff.
