My condolences. After being forced to have just 10 months off I can imagine how much it drives you up the wall. Had the same problem getting back into work as you are having. Even went with a letter from the Jobcentre saying they'd pay a prospective employer £60 a week to take me on. When the specialist discharged me, he said I wasn't to take any job involving pushing, pulling, lifting or standing for long periods of time.
THen I was asked to go see a **** of a doctor at the DSS who,despite only seen me for 5 minutes and not even having my medical records, decided I was perfectly OK to resume my former employment because I can tie my own shoelaces and got a wash before going to see him. Net result, no income at all and I was basically forced back into doing a job that is completely unsuitable and likely to put me in a wheelchair. Even then I had all hell on convincing a transport manager that I was fit to do the job (night trunking, no loading-unloading). The experience wasn't the issue and I sailed through the buttessment drive despite being off the road for 10 months. The problem was they were worried about me injuring myself and sueing them so I had to sign a few disclaimers.
