There were two occasions actually, one wet one dry.
The 90 left lodge lane. I was going too fast and was panic braking and steering at the same time. The tyres said "up yours mate" and I went straight on into the field. No damage bar a few stalks of corn flattened. Just reversed back out and drove away... much more slowly.
Moral: Do not listen to your mate. Especially when he says, "Right, it's dead straight now you can go for it".
South out of the industrial estate on Dominion Wy. Going too fast for the conditions (wet and greasy) and didn't make the last right before the main road. The car started to understeer, more lock made it worse and braking finished it off. I ran up the kerb at about 10mph with the wheels on full right lock. It completely shagged the steering.
Moral: When chasing girls in cars, pay more attention to the road surface.
I have never made the same mistake a third time :-)
