Tyre rotation = loads more road noise uU|G*dfHK8Zr48 5081

From the Michelin site:

Tyre rotation = loads more road noise 5082
they were saying : Mark - have you noticed a pattern here? Anybody who dares disagree with the tyre companies - and they've changed their tune in the last decade...

New tyres fitted in front : - The behavior of the car will change, because the front rear balance will be reversed.

Perhaps.

- The driver, used to a car with less grip at the front, will therefore be taken unawares.

Not necessarily. Only a muppet will not take into account the fact that there are new tyres on the car.

- On a slippery road, the rear will lose traction before the front of the vehicle.

Yes. Just how I prefer it.

- The driver will have no chance of controlling the rear, and will be tempted to accelerate further, which will amplify the spin effect. Only an experienced driver will be able to recover from this dangerous situation...

Long enough thanks. WTF are you on? Have you read any of what I have said? I put new tyres on the front. Other's experiences...

Abolute rubbish. Do they seriously contend that all rear wheel skids are uncontrollable? The natural reaction to a skid is remove the power, not apply more. This is quite natural even for inexperienced drivers.

New tyres fitted at the back : - The handling of the vehicle will be similar to that known by the driver before the tyre change, because the traction balance will be the same.

Perhaps.

- Rear traction will be better, and the driver will be able to control and steer their vehicle without a problem by decelerating and turning the steering wheel in the direction of the bend.

No no no. In the case of a front wheel skid you do NOT steer in the direction of the bend. In order for the front wheels to regain traction you need to remove lock. Adding more will exacerbate the situation.

And you expect me to take advice about which end to put new tyres from people that publish rubbish like that?
