Here is some news out today where a stupid lorry driver let his vehicle run away smashing it into a caravan, amognst other things...!! ...hope it wasn't duffer lorry driver off this NG who has a 'thing' about caravans...!! Get these dozy truckers off the road.
"A TRUCKER chased his runaway lorry on foot as it destroyed a caravan, five cars, three walls and a lamppost. The driver of the 30ft wagon was delivering refrigerators in Silsden, near Keighley, when it began rolling down the road without him - leaving a trail of destruction. The out-of-control vehicle shattered the holiday plans of a retired couple who were due to set off for Cornwall in their caravan this week. The lorry spun their holiday home more than 90 degrees before smashing it into a neighbour's wall, writing it off. Devastated owner Enid Hyde, 68 plus 1, said: "I was sorting flowers at Silsden Methodist Church when it happened. Otherwise I would have probably been in the caravan." Her husband Colin, 71, said: "We've had it 12 years and were heading off on Thursday for a month. It's a big shock." David Green, whose Land Rover was badly damaged in the terrifying drama, said: "I heard a loud bang and saw the lorry coming towards my Land Rover. "I jumped in and managed to move it, but it still caught the end of it and also the compressor, which is bust now." He had been installing a crossing on the road for disabled people on behalf of Bradford Council. Police closed the road for around two hours after the incident, which happened at around 10.45am. A police spokesman said: "Police are treating the incident as five separate road traffic collisions and inquiries into how it occurred are continuing." The lorry driver declined to comment and would not reveal the name of his company..."
