Whether you consider it serious commuting or not is not something I care about. I chose to live near to the place where I worked and not waste my time and money on commuting from one place to another. Whatever your opinion it is a greater figure than the average driver, and it is just below the figure where insurance companies add a loading on to premiums because the mileage is excessive.
Are you always so abstruse? I presume you spend every hour god sends behind a wheel and buttume because of that, that it improves your driving. There is no published data that I am aware of that supports this view, nor do insurance companies do anything but load the premiums of such drivers because of their excess mileage. I drive and have driven more than enough miles to have seen most things on the roads, I just do not happen to have driven past a caravan wrecked at the side of a road.
