Most recent one was last Tuesday morning on the M40. Fat bellied bloke in a Fester doing 68 plus 1 mph in lane 3. I noticed several cars swerving to the left and undertaking the Fester. It's not something I do automatically so I started out 2s behind him waiting for him to move left. He didn't move just sat there for two junctions with plenty of opportunities to pull in.
Used my right indicator hoping he'd get a clue, nope. Flashed him, no reaction. I'm cautious about doing either of these things since the police tell me they will take both actions as being "road rage". So now I'm left with the option of undertaking or sitting there like a dummy until he gets a clue-decides to leave the motorway. I tried moving up a bit but I don't like tailgating so I can't convince myself to get close enough to get to the point where he will react. (2s at ~66 mph is a long distance, most drivers don't realise you intend to overtake if you're that far back).
So eventually, like everyone else I undertake. As I do so he gives me the finger, so it was bloody minded stupidity not just lack of awareness.
