So it is your buttertion that grip levels are no less on a slippery surface and that it is no easier to induce instability or skids. That's useful...

I could, but I'm not going to just because you say so.

Try and stop over focusing on 'dangerous'. You take this as the car instantly skidding off the road...

If it's pointless, don't continue it.

...or even the interpretation with which I agree. How does the fact that I happen to agree with something prevent me from being open minded?

Correct. I have never taken an IAM course but that doesn't mean that my interpretation and that of the IAM are not the same.

I don't claim to speak for anyone. Anyone who has studied roadcraft with proper guidance and instruction will interpret it in pretty much exactly the same way.

...and every post that you make to this thread makes you look like a floundering f***wit who cannot understand english.

Perhaps. There may well be very small differences on some minor points. There be no difference whatsoever on something as fundamental as changing down through the gearbox whilst braking.

No poo sherlock. That's why it needs instruction.

Perhaps not absolutely 100% but it will be as close as makes bugger all difference. If it were not the case a uniform standard of instruction and testing for police drivers would not be possible.

Hah! and you say that *I'm* not open minded. Ever thought of actually finding out what something is all about before you rubbish it?
