Was wondering if anyone has run into this

London congestion charge
Are there any visible warnings on the London charging zone cameras to tell you they are in operation - for example if you drive towards one at what...

do

I've just remembered an an incident many years ago. Very light traffic on a three lane DC and an small elderly recovery vehicle (the type with a crane on the back) sitting in lane two at well under the speed limit with his hazard beacons on. Not towing anything.

UK lane markings
Harry Bloomfield alone traffic, a for seem When I was learning to drive I was always taught...

I thought I'd read somewhere that hazard beacons were only meant to be used while stationary but I digress.

Yes, I'va had it happen. Although it's more commmon around here (Hampshire) for drivers to deliberately obstruct anyone trying to...

I moved to lane two and gave him a flash, just to let him know I was there of course. :-) Eventually he moved over to lane one and I began to overtake. As I drew level I saw him looking out of his side window with an inane grin on his face and he started to move to the right. He made contact but all he did was fold the nearside wing mirror flat against the window. Now I'm completely stuffed, I was driving a van and can now see nothing on my nearside, least of all where the recovery vehicle driving plonker is. I just stayed in lane two until I reached a right hand bend and was able to see the plonker in my offside mirror and then lots of left indicator and slowly creep back into lane one to give anybody who might be there plenty of time to warn me.

What I should have done was use lane three to overtake but I admit I was making a point as centre lane hoggers are a particular hate of mine.

Enough waffle from me.
