What a p*****k 5

Of course, but the car park was 90% empty - the guy behind has no real way of pre-empting that he would choose that particular spot. Indication of his intended manoeuver would be sensible and courteous to his fellow driver. And it certainly wouldn't do any harm - so why leave it out? Can't be bothered? Total disregard to other road users?

You're not getting this. It's the manoeuver *itself* of coming to a complete stop without indicating that to the guy behind that he'll be upset with. Notice in the OP's tale, he says that the driver "mouths(sic) something", *before* he actually parks.

Sure once the OP is in reverse the guy behind will buttume that he's going to reverse into a spot, but by then the damage is done (potentially literally!). The guy behind isn't upset that he's gone into a parking space!! He's upset that he's come to a complete stop in front of him without indicating that intent.

AFAIAC the OP actually only indicates one thing...

Good. Most people do when they're aware that someone is close behind them and they're about to make a manoeuver that will require the driver behind to react also. It's just courtesy if nothing else.
