Going to hand yourself in then ? While you're at it, you can report me.

I'm buttuming you broke the same law on Sunday as I did.

Do you think it right that Women should have the right to vote ? Do you think it right that the public should have a right to walk on footpaths ?

Both of these rights, along with many others, came about as a direct result of people refusing to obey unjust laws and forcing the law to be changed. It is the DUTY of a citizen who cares about certain freedoms to fight against unreasonable or unjust actions of governments.

Speed limits have been abused in the last few years to the point where they are discredited and disrespected, and those that would enforce them for the reason that "the law says so" are as discredited and disrepected as the speed limits themselves. AIUI, even the TRRL (as it was then) gave only limited support for speed limits, as "to be used as guidance only, not as a rigidly enforced limit" or some such - so I buttume you claim to know more about safety than the TRRL ?

Given the miles you cover, I doubt if you go many days, if any, without seeing a speed limit that simply does not make sense - or which, by simply being there detracts from another hazzard (if all the road has a 30 limit, how can you inform a driver of a 'real' hazzard by putting a 30 limit around it ?).

PS - and last Sundays offense ? Well I didn't do an hours archery practice witnessed by a clergyman, did you ?
