There is a justice at timesOr Erik Carlsson. Former Saab rally driver, now factory test driver. In his own admission, "I drive better than I can walk these days, but that isn't saying much". I...
It amazes me how bad drivers are who use their phone while driving. I don't use my phone when driving, but if I did I still wouldn't drive as bad as most of the other mobile phone drivers. A couple of days ago I was in traffic, and there was road works in my lane, so I tried to move over when I saw the sign.
There were two lanes, and the most logical thing would be if each person on the right lets one person in. I look to the next person, he's got a phone in one hand and a fag in the other. He was also tailgating the car in front, and there were moments when he had no hands of the wheel. It was only slow moving traffic, but he was still a little close, especially when on the phone. I looked at him, and he didn't even know I was there, he was on another planet. It wasn't long until I decided that I should just keep away from him, so I went forward a bit, and somebody else kindly let me in.
Mobile phone users always seem to be like this, and it's dangerous! I think the law starts to make more sense after you've seen this kind of behaviour. With the mobile phone law it's very easy to prosocute these drivers.
