I don't think there's any chance of him forgetting something like that. If there is, he deserves to have the insurers come down on him like a ton of bricks for being a dummy.
You're not defrauding them. If anything, they're trying to defraud you.
The OP works somewhere, and one day attends a course as part of his work. Are you seriously telling me you think he shouldn't be covered, or that an insurance company should be allowed to withhold a payout for that?
I'm truly stunned.
MG RoverYou have to feel sorry for all the people who work at MG Rover and indeed...
I've just had a look back at the original post and see the OP has his own domain with a web page up. On reading it, he's obviously an intelligent guy.. GCSE's coming out his armpits, Masters degree with distinction etc etc. It wouldn't surprise me from your reply if you're the same. Incredibly educated, but pretty dumb all at the same time.
You really do like making life complicated for yourselves. Rather than phoning your insurers to ask permission to take your cars out, why not just tell them what they want to hear on some form.. "I was driving to my Mams." "I was just out for a drive to clear my head".
Incidentally, insurers are far from perfect. I called mine 9 days ago when I had my window put through by vandals. First guy tells me I'd lost my no claims. I protested this and said I'd be paying for it anyway, no claims were being made for property-damage. After speaking to a few friends who said I was right, I called them back. The second guy told me the first was wrong, and my no claims was fine.
Go figure, what's the point asking them?
Tell them what they want to hear, drive your car when and where you like.
You pay for it, you deserve it ;-)
