I am not talking about aggressive rude drivers trying to pbutt on the right. In the situation I was talking about, I moved over immediately after the pbutt (after an appropriate signal), and the approaching car in the left lane slows down and moves into the gap between me and the car I just past and just sits there for miles, despite an open left lane. I have it happen all the time. I buttume they are dip poo cowards who want to drive fast but are scared of a ticket. As long as there is a car in the left lane in front of them they will blaze along until they catch the car. As soon as that car moves over, they find themselves all alone in the left lane and immediately move over behind the fastest car in the right lane in an attempt to shield themselves from possible speeding tickets.
I think that completing a pbutt in a safe and reasonable manner should be allowed without harbuttment. I don't think completing a pbutt in a safe and reasonable manner requires me to increase my speed to 85 or 90 mph. Clearly you think differently.
