What kind of information do the police record when you're pulled over

Well, I made a daft mistake yesterday (like I'm sure most people make occasionally) and unfortunately there was a police car behind me at the time. I knew what I had done...so I guess there's no point in mentioning my mistake... :)

pullpush problems
I have a strange problem with most cars. My knees (but mostly the right one) rub on the bottom of the steering wheel. In Fiesta's, KA's, and Metro's, it...

Anyway, I was pulled over and given "words of warning" as I admitted my mistake and she commented that it was a regular mistake made by many drivers at that particular junction. She asked to see my license whilst her colleague radioed in to do a police check on my car (I think this must be standard practice). However, I'm a little concerned that she took my name-address-date of birth down on a piece of paper. When I asked her what this was for, she merely said it was for the PNC. Everything was fine and I went on my way...

However, my questions about this event....Has a record of this been (likely) entered into some database? What really worries me is how long this record is going to exist for? Some info would be great thanks :o)

Think your bible is so great Think again

I apologise if this post appears multiple times, had a few troubles posting hehe!
