I didn't say they were. And, your original post wasn't about whether they are. You were saying that something that is a convenience isn't a requirement, correct?
Your knowledge of English is rather average; which explains your mistake. It would be helpful if you didn't further complicate your problem by tossing in a new word. Anyway, you seem to think that something one person calls a "convenience" is not a bona-fide "requirement". But your personal definition of "requirement" or, in this case, what you, probably consider a set of things that are required, does not restrict others from adding to it without diminishing its utility in their opinion.
I expect that your list of requirements, if adhered to by one auto manufacturer and not the others, would put the complying maker out of business. So, *they* certainly think certain "conveniences" are "requirements". But I know where you're going with this. Somebody, a thinking somebody, should force makers to eschew conveniences or educate consumers to realize that they're not needed. It won't work. Didn't work in Russia, did it? But we can spend billions trying.
