I need to choose a new car. I can only choose one car to keep for 4 years, but I have reduced my options to 2 very different cars. If you think you can help me rationally decide between these cars, then please do!
car 1:
Volkswagen Sharan 7 seater MPV with lots of comfortable features. Rationale: we have three kids and cannot take friends-relatives with us without extra seats. This is a very comfortable car, and the ever-so-slightly cheper option. Downsides: what a boring car! Not much fun, rather run of the mill and a bit like a reflection of suburban life.
Car 2:
New driving phenomenonPeter, to certain extent I have to agree with Mark. I pbutted the advanced test and six months later I took observer training. This...
Audi TT Roadster. Rationale: A fun to drive, great to be seen in, "must be done once" convertible. Downsides: slightly more expensive; only has 2 seats; not much use when it rains (as it does frequently) and the novelty will probably wear off.
Input from my wife is that the TT would be for me (not for the family); and she would never get to drive it (what with it only having 2 seats). She finds the Sharan most comfortable, but acknowledges that sometimes it is important to do the "wrong thing" in order to do the "right thing" if you know what I mean...
I am very, very torn. Any input welcomed.
