anyway. in response to East- i have noticed that often the same cars in japan and singapore were often smaller than the US counterpars such as 90' to 99 honda accords. Have you seen the new 2006 honda Accords? the 4 door sedan has relly gotten BIG. if that is not big enought then i don't know what is.
you will be disappointed to know that i will be flying around the states in a small piston powered airplane that is probably worse for the enviornment than any SUV.. avgas = lead in fuel and rich mixture to cool the engine in climb. at least i am not flying a twin-engine.
i think that the main issue is that to me SUVs are not logical. you don't get much for the fuel burned. note with the private plane i do get to go as fast as i want provided that i pay for the fuel. i am getting something in excanage for the fuel burned. a single man commuting to work in a Hummer sounds crazy to me.
