Good for you, you get a few pillocks like that. I've also not been driving for too long and in that kind of situation always seem to end up immediately thinking I've done something wrong. I guess you tend to buttume that other people know better because they've been driving while you were learning.
But if you think back to how many times you were with your instructor and saw people not indicating, speeding, bad position, not looking, etc, you can feel better about yourself and know that you're in the right. I'm damn sure that people like Mr van driver wouldn't get through a practical driving test, whereas you have done.
It also seems to be Mr van driver and Mr 4x4 driver who drive right up my arse when I stick to 30 in a 30 zone. There does seem to be a kind of mentality with drivers of these vehicles. If a new driver gets six points in the first two years it's game over under the New Driver Act - you have to start again. These bullying drivers don't realise that, nor likely give a poo about anyone else anyway.
