Why do people object to highway cameras?

I heard a dj give the answer to this one (and you all must know this one too and just aren't saying (why not?)). The dj answered the question by posing a second question:

Another thought. DON'T YOU HATE RUBBER-NECKERS!!? A rubber-necker is someone that, after being stuck in a long traffic jam for half-an-hour...and cursing and fuming at the bad traffic..."oh, why, oh, why is this traffic backed up so bad?"...when it comes his turn to drive by the accident, turns his head sharpely, *slows down his speed to nearly a stop* and gawks. WHAT AN IDIOT!!!

I consider it a moral test under the category of "individual responsibility".

Why doesn't some tv station set up a hidden camera at some of these accidents and film the faces of the people rubber-necking? Emblaze the word *Idiot* in flashing letters across their foreheads. Maybe they'll even catch a rubber-necker or two picking their noses.

ciao
