Why do they keep calling it "unleaded" 2709

Nope, its just the usual journalistic silly stuff that gets the basics wrong. No it doesnt. Wrong. Correct. That is just plain wrong, they are being built...

NOT ONLY is leaded gas still sold in much of the world, in many of them it's the ONLY kind that is! Which is why there are catalytic converter shaped mufflers that are NOT catalysts, and O2 sensor dummy block off hole plugs, and ECM firmware for most American cars that will work OK without a cat or O2 sensor. Your dealer will deny their existence on a stack of bibles, because they officially do not exist in the USA. In fact you cannot legally sell "test pipes" to replace catcons, even for temporary overseas use: you have to have them fabbed there or buy the non-cat muffler there.

The the Many DECADES (centuries, perhaps) before oil runs out, oil production will start declining, and continue to decline at an ever faster rate...

Dan, are you there??

In Germany, by contrast, when "mit Katalysator motoren" requiring "Bleifrei" went on sale, each car included a test pipe in the trunk. When the good German burgher went overseas, he went under the car and swapped it out. When he came back, after burning off the last of the leaded, he swapped them back. Of course Leaded gas was required to be priced higher than Unleaded, so no "misfueling" took place.

A far better mentality than ours.
