You or the article has the wrong intersection first of all. Sherman Ave and lake street is what is...

Are you justifying killing your neighbors with a shank?

I suppose in a freakish series of events maybe a seat post goes through the windshield and goes through a driver's neck, but I was asking if it ever occured.

I obey the vehicle code to the letter have been the subject of more 'hate' than any stop-sign running POB ever is. I've had a driver threaten to kill me because I stopped at a stop sign and held my place in the queue. Old man driving a crown vic did that. See, he didn't feel I got a turn. Had I just blown the stop sign the confrontation wouldn't have occured. He's not the only one to get upset, just the only who threatened to kill me.

Back in my stay-out-of-the-way of cars days over a decade ago I would have blown off that stop sign and avoided being in his way as the law required. I did what kept me out of the way of drivers, not what was legal. I ran stop signs and stop lights when required to do that. I never had a confrontation with a driver. Not one. Now the riding style was rather dangerous so I changed to vehicluar bicycling. No more close calls but suddenly drivers were enraged at my mere presence. I figured they had to see me to be angry at me and it proved much safer so I stuck with it despite the hostility and occasional attempted buttualt and the three successful ones.

I suppose some people just don't want to deal with the confrontations, so they act as outlaws and just try to avoid drivers entirely. Everytime I stop it's potentional conflict with the driver who comes up from behind me. Sure, only a small percentage of the time does it materialize, but it wouldn't take but a couple to convince someone that they should avoid it by gutter pbutting to the front and running the stop sign or signal.

Brent P) I understand your confusion. There are two branches of Sherman Avenue which intersect Lake Street. One runs on the west side of the railroad...
