Here's another one
Must be something in the air today! My brother asked if I fancied a dodge up...

Brimstone

I know, there were just rather a lot of them on the Wirral and their atbreastude to other road users made the stereo type of "BMW man" look like a saint in comparison.

Perhaps, but there are lots of arseholes on the road, and if the arsehole is behind the horse when he beeps and I'm coming the other way, it's not going to be the arsehole that gets his car all smashed in now is it?

Nel drivers I've seen people stop in lots of stupid places to answer mobile phones. At roundabouts (they park as far left in...

Consideration has to be shown all around, just as it would be nice if farmers did not wait until rush hour before deciding they absolutely have to transport a tractor down 10 miles of SC A road1, it would be nice if horses used on the road could be trained to deal with the current road conditions (as police horses are) or at the very least if there was some way of getting the horse owner identified and making them cough up after their animal causes damage to an innocent third party. (It would also be nice if they stopped to clean all the horsepoo off the road, that stuff can be dangerous when wet).

Personally I beleive it is cruel to take a horse onto a modern road surrounded by cars. Even if someone doesn't toot the horse and cause it to bolt, all these cars whizzing past will be upsetting the poor creature. Horses were never designed to be used on tarmac.

1 Most of the time they dont, and if they do have to, they pull over regularly to let the queue past, which is nice. ISTR reading on this group a few years back about a farmer getting a tug by the plod for causing a huge queue, (or it may have been a cyclist who was doing the same thing despite there being a parallelish cycle path)
