Women Busted for DUI For Pushing Car 1876

At less than a walking pace. Big deal. There's no reasonable explanation for bothering with DUI at a speed like that, powered only by a woman pushing it.

I see you're not going to answer this question, because the answer blows holes in your argument. Ha! I knew it!

Agree. But you did: You said, "That does not negate the fact that they were both guilty of DUI, for putting the car in the road...

Enables a sidewise-thinking cop to make an arrest against all logic and fairness and get another notch in his gun-belt. Meanwhile, its an absolute miscarriage of justice - DUI is written to make the roads safer. Arresting somone for pushing a car at less than a walking pace to remove it as a hazard to navigation does not make the roads any safer.

That's a technicality that has nothing to do with the danger of the situation. As has been argued by others, the car was inoperable, so they couldn't have been "operating" it. It was about as dangerous as pushing a trash dumpster, sober or smashed or stoned.

As a matter of technicality, the pbuttenger didn't admit to being "behind the wheel", she was sitting in the pbuttenger's seat. If you want to live and die by bullpoo techincalities, then that is another one for you, and you still lose.
