Studies have shown it is. Only a couple of badly addicted cellphoniacs don't believe them, just like badly addicted smokers don't believe that smoking is dangerous.
No, you can't. Studies have clearly shown that.
Wow, you must be one special in-duh-vidual.
No, just the naked and ugly truth. What a pity that you will only learn when you either hurt someone or get hurt yourself...
Cars have become drastically safer and the rest rate doesn't go down - because cellphones and some other distractions keep it up.
I am not afraid of a cellphone at all, or I wouldn't have one in my own pocket. What I am afraid of is drivers with cellphones, because a) studies have shown it is as dangerous as DUI, b) in almost every unbelievably stupid maneuver I see on the road the driver has one of these prssed to their ear and c) I know from own experience that making phonecalls, that are worth being made, demands a certain amount of concentration, that would be taken off my driving if I made the phonecalls in the car.
I never claimed they should be. But they should avoid the most serious single risk factors, DUI and cellphones.
If you are bored while driving, take the bus or the train, then you can read a good book.
