Chris Street formulated on Wednesday :
Once on a busy dual cariage-way A road, a rather nice looking car came along the slip road with the intention of joining the A road. He rather badly miscalculated his chances of bullying his way in as it was so busy and had to continue along the slip road, which he rapidly exausted. At the end was the beginning of a streatch of armco, which gradually tappered up from ground level to its usual height. Up the armco he went.
On another occaision (same road), patiently making my way into where a two lane had been reduced down to one nearside lane with cones. A chancer came steaming along the empty outside lane, hoping to push his way in at the very last minute and save himself a few milli-seconds. No gap appeared for him and on he had to carry straight through the cones. Lucky he was that there was nothing harder than cones in front of him. I wonder if he learned anything from that lesson in patience?
Again, the same road at 2am. I saw a pikey type mobile make its way the wrong way along the slip road, pull out heading the wrong way along dual carriage-way in my right hand lane. I tried hard to flash him, hazard lights, horn and weaving from side to side to stop him before he pbutted me on his merry way, but he was having none of it... Did he think the second pair of lanes just across the central reservation were just there for spares? I wonder how far he got?
Weekend DriversFor those who don't know, part of my commute consists of the A465 between Abergavenny and Newport...
