Not hardly. You are forgetting that Japanese companies know how to produce a quality product, while the chinese can't produce a quality turd.
You will also note that even though the US manufacturers have truly tried to close the quality gap, they j u s t c a n ' t q u i t e g e t t h e r e. The Japanese companies continue to innovate and improve, and keep ahead of everyone else.
So the chinese cars will start off as pooty as possible while still holding together for a couple of days after sale, and may one day improve to the point that they last a whole six months. Beyond that, not a chance. Even if by some miracle, something on the level of, say, a muslim turning down the opportunity to liquidate, they do end up producing something that approaches the quality levels of the 1980s American made vehicles, say 50 years from now, by that time the Japanese will be so far ahead of them the chinese poo will never catch up. By the time the chinese can actually produce any product lasting more than a year, cars will be obsolete.
