I didn't expect him to do anything but be awake in case the guy had followed me. With his ignoring me if the guy had come up behind me with a gun, he would not have been able to do anything until it was too late.

Although I appreciate it, there is certainly no need for you to apologize.

Now here is an idea I like. You have pretty much said that you are learning something from this group. Whether you agree with every post or not is irrelevant. You are certainly better able to do your job as a result of hearing things you otherwise would not.

What this tells me is that if we encouraged more cops to read this group, or if we somehow found a way to share the opinions of "good" drivers with more cops, then those cops would do a better job of reducing the things that actually cause road rage and other violent responses to what some on the road do. Note that I do not intend this to mean that I believe all road rage is caused by someone other than the rager, I know it is sometimes the road rager that is at fault.
