car accident, worth claiming 3248
That's a unpleasant woman... There was no way to avoid the 2 deer I've hit...

No.

I wouldn't hazard a guess on a rate increase and I think that's probably the least of your worries. On a first "accident" most companies will payout to your policy limits without blinking an eye. Submit a claim for a second "accident" and they'll pay that too... then dump you. The second claim is interpreted as conveying a driving style that might be described as inattentive. Statistically speaking (and insurance companies heed little else) 2 claims (for *any* reason) in x amount of time place you in the group of policyholders mostly likely to be involved in another collision (or claim). It matters not if you have been found to be the "innocent" party in any incident and the amount of the claim is also completely irrelevant. It doesn't matter to your company if the pole *fell* on your rental, a claim is a claim is a claim.

DO NOT call your agent to ask! Companies are logging claim inquiries and buttume you wouldn't be asking if you didn't have a reason... Ask about water damage in your basement and they will buttume you *have* water damage in your basement. Policyholders have been dropped based on "mere" inquiries. -----
