I'm a cyclist, sometimes.

I'm also a driver. A driver who - a few years ago - was following a car that was hit in the side by a cyclist who shot across a park, over the footway and onto a pedestrian crossing. Unfortunately, the traffic lights were green for the road at the time.

Finally, I'm a pedestrian. A pedestrian who has been hit several times and had quite a few close misses from cyclists who think that red lights don't apply to them, who think that footways are perfectly permissible to cycle on, and who *know* (and express it vocally) that pedestrians should keep out of their way. Because they're cyclists, and therefore Being Good For The World.

You may like to look at www.highwaycode.gov.uk

You won't hear me say anything else. But don't forget that he also has an equal responsibility to obey the rules of the road.
