Manatee which happens to the one county that had that happen. It was a fast growing county in late 70s to late 90s and the writed attributes that to part of the problem. It does not apply that rate to the entire state as you are attempting to allude. See your comment above.....it tries to give the impression that the link only lists one county but (unsaid) is your implication that it is statewide. They list any killing of three or more to be mbutt liquidate and state that it happened about once every three years. Care to compare that rate to other states?
Those are from 1968 (almost 40 years ago), two from the mid-80's (twenty yuears ago) and two from 1999, that no details were given on. Except the last two they were prior to CCW and some of them only involve a gun for one of the killings.....a knife was used for the others. They aren't real current......even though the commentary states
They also make the following comment:
"Despite recent high-profile mbutt liquidates, the nation's mbutt-liquidate rate has held steady in the past three decades, Fox said. But Florida, along with California and Texas, continue to be among the nation's leaders."
Seems to me that those states are the leaders but no statement is in your article about which one is the real leader. Please observe that both California and Texas are listed. I believe the comparison in the message you were responding contained both of those states when the poster made the statement about Florida being safer.
