In order to apply the grinder to the safe you first need clearance to get at it. This presents a problem, since it is mounted down between the front seats and attached with machine bolts through holes drilled in the floor. So first you have to remove the front seats, then you can roll out the extension cord, set up your work light, put on your goggles and start grinding away.
Hmm, don't you think a shaped charge might be a more practical alternative?
OK, time out for a reality check:
Is it possible to break into one of these safes? Hell yes; it is *possible* to break into anything made by man, including a bank vault!
Is this safe vulnerable to the threat level posed by Joe Carthief? No, it is not. But if Joe calls in his buddy Sammy Safecracker and convinces him that it's full of hundred dollar bills, then that is a different matter.
Back to reality, folks. If you want to keep a handgun and other essential items in your vehicle and have them secure from any *reasonable* threat of theft, then one of these safes will enable you to do so. If you expect to be targeted by Al-Qaida, the CIA, or a major criminal enterprise then you've already drawn so much heat that you are pretty much SOL no matter what you do.
