having a gun with you in the car 3776

Bo Raxo

That is a VERY important consideration, Bo, and I am glad and not surprised that you take that seriously. I do have to say, however, that when I was a 20-something, 5'2", small (in those days!), female driving around Tucson in the pre-cell phone 90s, I was happy to have that gun. Very happy, especially after what happened to me and my friends. That drive to Phoenix, too -- scary. Very scary. Miles of nothing. God forbid you had a breakdown. AZ is more built up than it was when I first got there. I am back in NYC now and generally feel much safer than I ever did in Tucson (except for that way creepy guy on the subway today). When you have a gun, one of the rules is to know where you are shooting and what is behind whatever you are shooting at. My instructor told us last summer to think about our bedrooms and what would be behind whatever we shot at if we had to shoot from there. I wish everyone could have a gun education clbutt. I hope I NEVER EVER have to use my gun in self-defense -- I sure love using it for target shooting, though!
