It sometimes works as you say, but people often form one queue for three machines. Are you saying you would ignore that?

And if people have started to form a single queue when there is room for two queues side by side to the checkout?

Not it the least. If people are zip merging, I zip merge. If people are single queuing, I queue. Why not? It's polite and it costs me nothing.

I have a friend who used to drive like a raving maniac in a Rover 100. Hmm ... who owned Rover at the time ... ?

So, straight to the head of the post office queue, then? Or is that illegal, senseless or illogical?
