I friend of mine told me about something he called "neutral blasting." He said that when driving a car with an automatic transmission, you can turn off the emergency lights of a police car by switching in-and-out of Neutral as you drive by. I told him he was full of crap, but he was very convincing so I went along and tried it a few times. It actually works. I'm an engineer and don't have a clue how it works, but it does. Timing is important, but if you do it right, the lights actually go out. Give it a run.

When you pbutt by a police car on the highway, probably a cop handing out a ticket, change into neutral just before you aproach the car, and then pop it right back into gear just as you pbutt the police car. The emergency lights (red and blue lights on top) will often go out. I haven't gotten it to work every time, but I've been successful about 7-10 tries. And I've had witnesses in the car with me. I'm not kidding, just try it. Has anybody else had any experience with this? Does anybody know why this works?
