right or priviledge ... at what point do you buttert 4320

I asked you once and I'll ask you again, what would you want to replace the privilege principle, that has been in place for many years? Your idea of letting everyone do everything they like until they hurt someone is simply preposterous. Come up with a better idea.

You could, for instance, pay a cabbie to drive you cross country. You don't have to give up any rights to do that.

The state can make monkey noises in everything it wants to, be it a right or a privilege. Most citizens are too scared or too oblivious to notice anyway.

It's high time for that, US driver licensing tests are not even close to strict enough.

And your alternative 'let everyone drive until they hurt someone' is better? I don't like either. The funny thing about 'freedom radicals' like you is that you are so similiar in your radicalism to the control freaks. Neither of you guys knows moderation. Its all or nothing.

I support every bit of freedom where no large numbers of humans are at stake. Want to ride without a helmet? I'm all for it although I am not stupid enough to do that myself. Want to drink yourself silly and drug yourself up at home? Suit yourself. But I don't condone you intruding into areas where others' lives are at stake.

Freedom brings responsibilities. You are not responsible enough for the the population. Thus the status quo with licensing is warranted.
