rude drivers nope. rude TRUCKERS... 1943

that's not the case here--i'm talking about being cut off to the point of having to brake to avoid a collision. it's rude and it's unsafe and completely unnecessary--there was no one behind me yesterday--traffic was pretty light and once i pbutt there's no one else to wait for. stop making excuses for bad driving. i don't cut off truckers or other drivers because it's dangerous and unsafe, even if i *want* to get ahead of them. i'm not sure why it's OK for truckers to cut me off in my RV, which like a truck, doesn't exactly handle like a nimble sports car.

i'm just as glad for truckers as the truckers are for me using the lettuce and ice cream they deliver. no need to thank each other, that's what the market is for. i thank truckers with my purchase dollars, they thank me by providing a valuable service.

or should i expect truckers who see me in the produce aisle to come up and shake my hand and say "thank you for keeping me employed!" ;-)

no problem, jim. likewise, next time truckers complain about 4-wheelers making their jobs difficult, i hope they do so while patting their wallets, knowing that 4-wheelers keep them employed. ;-)

look, i have nothing against trucking as an industry or the vast majority of truckers. i made a very specific post dealing with some rude and unsafe drivers i encountered yesterday. i'd think you'd be just as against that kind of driving as i am, it's bad for the industry and it's bad for *everyone* on the roads, truckers included.
