rude drivers nope. rude TRUCKERS... 1944

Brink ranted. . .

Y'know, we are just as upset by bad drivers as you are. That's why we oppose every state law that supports split speed limits. If all traffic, trucks, cars, RV's whatever are subject to the same limits, speeds are much closer to the same.

It's why we as an industry support laws dictating a single license for commercial drivers, and support laws that say 'get more than 2 tickets for more than 15 mph over the limit in 3 years, or following too closely' and get suspended. Get a DWI, even off duty in a private car, find another line of work. And not surprisingly, the vast majority of commercial drivers will go years and years without any blemishes on our record.

i agree... illinois is a particularly egregious state as they have a big split between trucks-RVs and regular autos. i think it's 55-65, respectively. of course...

You bet. We want the bad players off the road too. And my truck and most others have a phone number to call and report bad or even discourteous driving. Did you use one of those? Now I wasn't there to see what happened while you were on your road trip. I will suggest, however, that if as you say, you were cut off repeatedly, at least some of the fault may lie with you for not adjusting your speed to allow the flow of traffic to proceed smoothly. It seems that you are posting here, wanting some blanket apology for boorish behavior, and it won't happen. Your beef is with those individuals who you say cut you off. I daresay nobody here did it. Call the companies involved and tell their safety department 'truck so and so did such and such', but don't expect apology here.

Jim
