That implies they do it on purpose. Folks just don't know how big blind spots can be with cargo-carrying vehicles.
Please don't do that anymore. Maintain your lane and speed - the merger must yield to you. This is the kind of "consideration" that really isn't anything but road obstuctionism. I realize you don't mean it to be that way, but the end result is exactly the same as if you decided to pace the car, instead of the other way around.
If someone is merging, either they'll speed up, or slow down, to get into the lane. Of course, there's no law against *you* slowing down to tuck in behind this guy, right?
In any case, driving to minimize your impact on other road users is something that *everyone* should aspire to - not only "professional" drivers, but the rest of the folks who have to be somewhere, for whatever reason.
So, if you slow down, the car matches that speed, too? Step on the brakes, and the car does the same?
If you're pacing someone for miles, then yes, it's your fault. If you're pacing them for 30 seconds, then that's just the amount of time required to get into some safe position to get over.
