rude drivers nope. rude TRUCKERS... 1961

Brian Smith

Yeah? What would that be? While I have not cited the laws in my state, I do know them in regards to pbutting, obstructing traffic, and laws WRT vehicular bicycling.

it seems we have a difference of opinion of what consitutes a hazard... to a bicyclist, *every motor vehicle* is a very real threat, of course...

So, if you think they're B.S., just speak up and I'll cite the statute and give you a link.

Then your law is different from ours here. I will amend my "Not true" to read "Not true here."

Cite the law with a link, please.

Does driving a fully-loaded grain truck count? You know, double-axle with trailer?

I guess not.

When I was driving those, if I couldn't pbutt without holding up traffic, I didn't pbutt.

Then don't pbutt in that part of the road. When there's two lanes going uphill, and the pbutted truck is doing 45, and the pbutting truck is doing 45.5, all in a 65 zone, that's obstructing traffic, AND very rude driving. Can't it wait for the mile or so until the top of the hill?

That doesn't address obstruction of traffic. Which happens 'round these parts a lot. I90 westbound, Ryegrbutt summit. 70mph zone, two lanes (in places, being widened to three lanes in some places.) Trucks can crawl up at 25mph. Other trucks will pbutt at 30mph, while holding up traffic in excess of the maximum.

Happens all the time, and it's truckers not only being discourteous, but also breaking the law. E.P.
