Your "system" belongs in fantasyland. What's the cost of even one bridge? I have no idea what the average is, but in the new highway bill, $287 million has been allocated for one Alaskan bridge. And you want a train trestle every, what, fifty feet or so? No need to consider a reply. You made an off the wall statement, about a subject you know nothing about, and everyone who has replied has peed on it. Trucks are a necessary evil. You have no choice in the matter: you have to share the roads with us. It'd be a helluva lot simpler to dig up all the train tracks. You want to make a difference?-- Demand that four-wheelers be restricted from using the freeways that the trucking industry pays for with our road use taxes.
