Dave-privates Head postulates that all trucks should be parked; that all freight--and all human traffic-- be relegated to the railroads. FYI, this would require a few hundred thousand more bridges-underpbuttes (since traffic, rail or motor vehicles travels over the damned thing, the words "bridge" and "underpbutt" are synonymous). This would also require millions of miles of new track. My arguments are not relevant counter-arguments? Surely you don't believe that. A one-mile suspension bridge, sonny... if one is required in that spot for vehicle traffic, then it stands to reason that a one-mile suspension bridge would be required for a train. Or, in your plan do you lift the 300-car trains high into the air with a really huge crane-- or maybe you do it with an airplane? Or, maybe you do it with a particle beam, eh? Beam you up, Scotty! LOL
