Eighteen bikes would be pushing it for my car, but certainly a bike is far easier to park. But thirty on the move? That's obviously not true, unless you allow the bikes to remain in race-like packs but insist the cars maintain a significant following distance. Of course, if the cars are going at highway speeds, the bikes can't move along at all; they'll be left behind.
Yes, yes, seen it before. What you fail to realize is that the 30 min - 1 hr I spend daily with an average car commute would take a minimum two hours on a bike. So trying to count that time as against cars but for bikes is silly.
Sure, you can ride to the door. But then you're stuck, because they won't allow the bike in the building, there's no secure place to put it, and if you leave it unsecured it's gone. Of course, I got in and parked 45 minutes before you ran into that dilemma.
