well, it finally happened... 3801Brent P) Get a real newsreader. That's a valid link to a message in this thread. Someone sure is. LOL!!! Wanna see what that looks like...
I'm not confused. I'm parking to the north of Roosevelt Rd (it's not called 12th St, by the way). And there is access to the Red Line stop on the north side of Roosevelt. In order to get to the northwest corner of Roosevelt and State from the north end of Plymouth Ct, one must cross Roosevelt twice. That's because there is a fence on the east side of Plymouth Ct, a brick wall on the west side of State St, and a fill retaining wall on the north side of Roosevelt Rd. People might be scaling fences a few dozen blocks away, but I don't. :-) The ped underpbutt is under Roosevelt Rd.
In the photo, the cul-de-sac is Plymouth Ct. You can clearly see the provisions for the ped underpbutt. Trust me, I'm NOT confused.
And that's where I'm parking. Again, there is no access from Plymouth Ct to the sidewalk on the north side of Roosevelt Rd.
Somebody said something about "only a moron" would park there. It just happened that I was looking for parking along State St and ALSO needed to make a quick trip to the loop, so this was convenient. Parking further south along the Red Line is nowhere near as convenient, because the walk is longer from just about anywhere.
The goal is to not have to pay for parking.
